The Pharmacy Intern position at Wegmans offers part-time opportunities for students working towards a PharmD degree to gain hands-on retail pharmacy experience under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. What will I do?

• Utilize and bring your coursework to life, while gaining a comprehensive knowledge of the retail pharmacy industry
• Work with your preceptor, Pharmacy Manager, pharmacists, and technicians to learn to better serve customer needs
• Answer questions, provide counseling on prescriptions, and relay any pertinent information so customers can successfully and confidently use medication at home
• Proactively contact internal and external business partners; comply with all federal, state, and HIPAA regulations; ensure company guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures are followed

Required Qualifications:

• In progress towards earning Pharm D degree in an accredited School of Pharmacy

• Pharmacist Intern Permit where applicable by state law

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pharmacy experience

• Immunization Certification

• Systems aptitude

• Computer skills
