ARES is seeking a Supervisor to provide leadership and management within the IT and Information Management Services group in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency’s enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing engaging videos, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA’s message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA’s communication to the outside world. Remote, hybrid, and onsite positions the employee bears travel costs to nearest NASA Center for badging and issue of NASA IT equipment.

For a Remote or Hybrid position, the employee must have a reliable internet connection and be able to VPN into the NASA network to conduct work.

JOB DESCRIPTION / FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serves as the Supervisor for the OCIO Agency Level Office IT Services Team, overseeing approximately 25 personnel and 10 work packages supporting NASA customers from all NASA Centers.
• Creates proposals and estimates for work based on customer needs, as outlined in Statements of Work (SOW).
• Develops monthly financial performance reports and effectively communicates results to NASA customers and eMITS management.
• Recruits, supervises, and develops talented individuals to execute assigned work packages.

EDUCATION AND PREVIOUS WORK REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a BA/BS and 10 years of relevant IT experience. Previous NASA Experience preferred.

EXPERIENCE/COMPETIENCIES/SKILLS:

• Minimum Requirements:
• Supervising a team or group with over 10 employees.
• Working with multiple customers to establish relationships and discuss requirements, budget, work status, and address issues.
• Managing employees/work located at multiple locations across the continental United States.
• Compiling financial reports and responding to data calls.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, One Drive), SharePoint, and Box.

PREFERRED QUALIFCATIONS:

• NASA experience is highly desired.
